Destilerias y Crianza del Whisky S.A. (or Whisky DYC) is a Spanish company founded in 1958. The first distillery started operations as early as February 1959. In March 1963, it started producing Whisky DYC, the first Spanish whisky.
There are two whisky producers in Spain. The larger and first Spanish whisky distillery is DYC in Palazuelos de Eresma. There is also the small distillery Liber in Padua. In Spain, whisky is often enjoyed with tapas.
