This single cask bottling of an Old Sandhill German Single Malt was produced by The Quaich / Mario Sammler from Neubrandenburg especially for the 20th anniversary (2005-2025). The whisky was distilled in 2014, matured in an ex-Margaux wine cask and was bottled in 45 bottles in 2025.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
