This single cask bottling of a 15-year-old Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler WhiskyMax in the Whisky & Arts series. The whisky matured in an ex-bourbon cask and was bottled in 2006 in 240 individually numbered bottles.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
