This bottling of a Mackmyra single malt as the distillery's original bottling was produced in the Moments series under the name XVI. The whisky was distilled on March 18, 2009, the day on which the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf visited the Mackmyra distillery.
Mackmyra Svensk Whisky was opened in an old mill in 1999 and moved to a new facility in 2011. As a special feature, the whisky is matured in special 30-litre casks, some of which are stored in very unusual places.
