This single cask bottling of a Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler Berry Bros & Rudd especially for Kirsch Import Germany. The whisky was distilled in 1997 and bottled at cask strength in 515 bottles in 2022.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
