This bottling of a Kavalan single malt as an original bottling from the distillery without an age statement was produced under the name Sherry Oak Matured. The whisky matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled in 2017.
The construction of the Kavalan Distillery as the first private distillery in Taiwan begins in April 2005. After only 9 months of construction, most of the buildings are completed in December 2005. Whisky is produced there from 11.03.2006.
