This single cask bottling of a 15-year-old Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler Douglas Laing in the Old Particular series. The whisky was distilled in 1999, matured in a refill butt and was bottled in 655 bottles in 2014.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
