Informations: This bottling of a George Dickel Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky with the name Old No.8 Brand is the standard bottling of the brand and was probably bottled in the late 1980s.

Distillery: Cascade Hollow: Cascade Hollow is a distillery in Tullahoma, Tennessee, which was opened in 1958, although there had already been a distillery of this name right next door since 1877. Goerge Dickel acquired it in 1888 and subsequently expanded it.
Country: USA: Whiskey production in the United States is dominated by about a dozen large distilleries, so that almost all whiskey sold comes from a single distillery, and blended whiskey is almost non-existent as a mixture of the whiskey of several distilleries.

The terms single barrel for whiskey from a single cask and small batch for whiskey from a relatively small number of casks have become established as distinguishing features.
