This single cask bottling of a St. Kilian single malt as an original distillery bottling was produced especially for the Whisky Fair Rhein-Ruhr 2023 as a trade fair bottling. The whisky was distilled in 2018, matured in an ex-Eisbock beer cask and was bottled at cask strength in 2023.
The St. Kilian distillery is located in the municipality of Rüdenau and has been producing its single malt whisky there since 2016. The multiple award-winning single malt whisky is distilled according to Scottish tradition and has established an excellent reputation in the whisky world in a short time.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business.
