This single cask bottling of a St. Kilian single malt as an original distillery bottling was produced in the Bud Spencer & Terence Hill series under the name Don Metteo. The whisky matured in ex-Rapisso red wine casks and was bottled in 2023.

As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
