This single cask bottling of a Slyrs single malt as an original distillery bottling was produced in the Distillers Choice series. The whisky was distilled in 2015, matured in an ex-Pineau des Charentes cask and was bottled at cask strength in 2022 with 308 individually numbered bottles.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
