This bottling of a Mackmyra single malt as an original bottling of the distillery was produced with the name Stjärnrök (star smoke), the whisky matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and partly in ex-mulberry wine casks.
Mackmyra Svensk Whisky was opened in an old mill in 1999 and moved to a new facility in 2011. As a special feature, the whisky is matured in special 30-litre casks, some of which are stored in very unusual places.
