Diese Abfüllung eines 6-jährigen Lediag wurde durch den unabhängigen Abfüller Signatory Vintage in der Serie The Un-Chillfiltered Collection hergestellt. Der Whisky wurde 2010 destilliert, reifte in zwei First-Fill-Ex-Bourbon-Barrels und wurde 2017 in einzeln nummerierten Flaschen abgefüllt.
Die Tobermory Destille in der Stadt Tobermory auf der Insel Mull wurde 1798 gegründet, war aber bereits im 19. Jahrhundert über längere Zeit geschlossen, so auch von 1930 bis 1972. Die Destille wurde 1972 unter dem Namen Ledaig wiedereröffnet und erweitert, musste aber 1975 schon wieder schließen. Seit 1993 übernahm Burn Stewart Distillers Ltd. und seit dem wird wieder kontinuierlich produziert.
Schottland und Schottischer Whisky liegen weltweit im Trend, eine Entwicklung, die in Schottland zu einem Aufblühen der Whisky-Szene geführt hat. So vergeht fast keine Woche, in der nicht eine Meldung erscheint über einen weiteren Destillerie-Neubau oder die Wiedereröffnung einer lange stillgelegten Brennerei berichtet wird.
Schottland, zusammen mit Irland, gilt heute als das Mutterland des Whiskies, dessen Wurzeln dort zurück reichen bis in die Zeiten um 1500 nach Christus.
